Therapeutic Fasting According to Buchinger

The body knows the way

The Buchinger therapeutic fast is one of the best-known fasting methods. It combines the conscious abstinence from solid food with a balanced intake of vegetable broths, juices, teas, and water.

Dr. Otto Buchinger was a German physician who developed fasting after suffering from severe rheumatic symptoms himself, and thus became the founder of therapeutic fasting.

At Nada Brahma Retreats, the fasting program is guided by experienced fasting facilitators and complemented by exercise, relaxation, and mindfulness. This creates a holistic approach that supports the body while also creating space for inner clarity.

How the Buchinger Fast Works

Conscious self-restraint, nourishing liquids, and mindful guidance make the Buchinger fast
a holistic method for a mindful break.
